född 1847 i Christiania, död 5 november 1906, var en norsk målare. Han är en av de internationellt mest kända norska konstnärerna från 1800-talet. Thaulow fick sin utbildning vid Konstakademin i Köpenhamn 1870 -72, och 1873-75 var han elev till Hans Gude i Karlsruhe. Åren efter detta uppehöll han sig för det mesta i Paris där han fick avgörande intryck från de franska impressionisterna. 1880 vände Thaulow hem som överbevisad naturalist. Tillsammans med Christian Krohg och Erik Werenskiold blev han snabbt en av ledarna i de unge konstnärernas kamp för en rikare och mer vidsynt norsk konstmiljö. Thaulow var bl.a. med på att etablera den första Höstutställningen 1882. 1892 slog han sig ner i Frankrike, och han besökte USA 1898. Dutch Baroque Era Painter, 1619-1688 was a Dutch landscape painter.Little is known of his history except that he was said to be a pupil of Rembrandt, whose influence is to be seen in much of his work. He painted chiefly broad, sunny landscapes, full of space, light and atmosphere; they are seen from a high perspective, allowing a prominent view of the sky. Portraits by him, somewhat in the manner of Rembrandt, also exist (e.g. see Joost van den Vondel); there are examples of these in the galleries at Copenhagen and Oslo. Of his landscapes, the principal are View at the mouth of a river at the Hague, with a slightly larger replica in the National Gallery, London; Woodland border and countryside (with figures by Adriaen van de Velde) at Amsterdam; and landscapes in Brussels, Florence (the Uffizi), Berlin and Cologne. Koninck, a prosperous businessman, appears to have painted few pictures during the last decade of his life. Several of his works have been falsely attributed to Rembrandt and many more to his namesake and fellow townsman Salomon de Koninck (1609-1656), also a disciple of Rembrandt, whose paintings and etchings consist mainly of portraits and biblical scenes. Bernardo Daddi
active in Florence 1320-1348 was an early Italian renaissance painter and apprentice of Giotto. He was also influenced by the Sienese art of Lorenzetti. Daddi's birth date remains unknown. He is first mentioned in 1312. He focused on religious motifs and altarpieces. A triptych he painted in 1328 is in the Uffizi, and there are several panels in National Gallery of Art and the Walters Art Gallery.
